The best of what’s left at positions of need for the Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of the 2025 offseason, and while they’ve made some headway on providing both starters and valuable depth at key positions, there is still work to be done. The problem with that is how the Steelers handle free agency. Even with a lot of cap space, the Steelers still went about their business like they usually do. Let the first wave of free agency die down, then sign some players in the tail end of that wave. Find some more in the second wave, and then wait until after the NFL Draft to acquire more talent.
There are four positions where the Steelers still need to add depth, and they are below. From there you’ll see the players available at those positions. It should be worth noting this list can change quickly as players are still being added to teams’ rosters. Otherwise, if the Steelers are all-in on the 2025 season, they might have to shy away from the compensatory pick formula and sign players before the deadline when players don’t count towards the aforementioned formula.

The Steelers still have plenty of work to do, but how much they want to spend on the above positions is certainly going to be interesting. There is a chance the organization chooses to wait until after the season to address some of these positions, but they also might be higher on the players they have in-house at some positions.
How do they view Spencer Anderson?
What about offensive tackle Dylan Cook who was signed to a Reserve/Free Agent contract after the season?
We’ll find out soon enough, but let us know players you like in the comment section below!

a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, since the 70’s I’m not a fan using free agency a hole lot to fill holes the N.F.L. draft is cheaper and smarter
