Steelers sign DB Cameron McCutcheon to Future/Reserve Contract

The NFL 90-man offseason roster is always in a state of fluctuation. Players will be signed and released with almost regularity as teams go throughout the entirety of the offseason. As players who are on playoff teams see their season come to and end, players on teams can be available to be signed to Future/Reserve contracts.

As the Steelers continue to round out their own 90-man offseason roster, the team announced the signing of defensive back Cameron McCutcheon. This from the Steelers official Twitter/X account:

If you don’t know much about McCutcheon’s time in the NFL, which wouldn’t be a surprise considering he has only been in the league for two seasons, here is a synopsis of McCutcheon’s tenure in the league, courtesy of the Steelers official website:

McCutcheon originally signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft and has spent time with the team the last two seasons.

He played college football at Western Carolina where he appeared in 22 games over two seasons. He finished with 79 tackles, 48 of them solo stops, four and a half tackles for a loss, eight passes defensed, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
