Steelers Final Pre-Draft Visitor Is a Familiar Name

We are officially inside a week until the 2025 NFL Draft, and the Pittsburgh Steelers just wrapped up their final Pre-Draft visits, of which they are allotted 30 for non-local prospects. Getting these guys in the building helps in multiple ways. From deep-diving medical evaluations to comprehensive in-person interviews, it’s a chance for the Steelers to get a bead on specific prospects they want to really get to know before Draft Day rolls around.

The other major benefit is for us as fans. Since these visits are limited, it really helps to narrow down which prospects and position groups are of the most interest to the team in this NFL Draft process. If a player comes for a Top 30 Visit, it’s usually not a smokescreen. It’s because there is real interest between the organization and prospect.

The final “Top 30” visitor to the Steelers’ South Side complex was none other than Ohio State RB Trey’Veon Henderson, one of the most dynamic prospects at his position in this Draft, and one that many Steelers fans have been expecting to see.

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:

Henderson is a compact runner with elite burst and homerun speed out of the backfield. He has one of the more well-rounded games of any of the RB prospects in this cycle, displaying the vision, contact balance, power, and speed to be a do-it-all player at the NFL level. With the ball in his hands, Henderson is decisive and quick, attacking open rushing lanes before they can close, but also displaying the patience to wait for things to develop if necessary. He’s at his best when he gets to top speed quickly, though, where he can get north and south in a hurry and leave defenders in the dust. He has the skills to play on 3rd down as well, offering plenty of potential as a receiver out of the backfield and as a pass protector. Overall, Henderson is an early Day 2 talent with the ability to handle RB1 duties from Day 1.

Don’t know if I’d want him in round 1, but if they could trade for a second rounder I would be all in on him. Seems like a great man along with a great running back.
