Steelers Bring in Three More Dynamic Prospects for Top 30 Visits
The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are wrapping up the time of the offseason filled with Pro Days and Pre-Draft visits, of which they are allotted 30 for non-local prospects. Getting these guys in the building helps in multiple ways. From deep-diving medical evaluations to comprehensive in-person interviews, it’s a chance for the Steelers to get a bead on specific prospects they want to really get to know before Draft Day rolls around.
The other major benefit is for us as fans. Since these visits are limited, it really helps to narrow down which prospects and position groups are of the most interest to the team in this NFL Draft process. If a player comes for a Top 30 Visit, it’s usually not a smokescreen. It’s because there is real interest between the organization and prospect.
The most recent visitors to the Steelers’ South Side facilities include a versatile Cornerback prospect out of Minnesota, a speedy Running Back from Texas, and a fast-rising Defensive Tackle out of Toledo. Let’s dive in!
The Steelers are hosting Syracuse QB Kyle McCord, Minnesota DB Justin Walley and Texas RB Jaydon Blue for Top 30 visits today.

JUSTIN WALLEY
Cornerback | Minnesota
Ht. 5100 | Wt. 190 lbs | Senior

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:
Walley is an intriguing mid-round CB prospect who can play inside or out at the next level. He’s played a lot of college football, but he still needs work refining his technique. Can get handsy in press coverage if he starts to fall behind, but he has fluid hips and good route anticipation to mirror receivers down the field. Not a long cover corner, but he has 4.4 speed and the physical nature to play inside and help in run support. Overall, Walley is a late Day 2/early Day 3 option for teams looking for potential in multiple spots in the secondary.
JAYDON BLUE
Running Back | Texas
Ht. 5090 | Wt. 196 lbs | Junior

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:
One of the most dynamic RBs in the class, Blue is pure speed and burst out of the backfield. He’s a one cut and go runner with the juice to get North and South quickly and make guys miss with elite acceleration. He’s faster than quick, not one to break a bunch of ankles in the open field. Has a compact build and low center of gravity to handle some interior runs, but he’s best as a stretch runner and cutback artist in zone concepts. Good hands as a receiver out of the backfield as well. Overall, Blue is a mid-round RB with the juice to be a homerun-hitter in the NFL and handle a decent workload.
.@ToledoFB DT Darius Alexander is among the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 Draft.
Alexander had 10+ pre-draft visits #Bengals, #Titans, #Cardinals, #Cowboys, #Jets, #Raiders, #Patriots, #49ers, #Steelers, #Giants, #Buccaneers. @TheDraftNetwork:https://t.co/oSVFmVMcot

DARIUS ALEXANDER
Defensive Tackle | SMU
Ht. 6040 | Wt. 305 lbs | Toledo

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:
Alexander is an explosive and versatile interior defender who is best when playing as a 3-tech or wider in an odd front scheme. He has high-end get-off and very active hands as a pass rusher, and his quickness off the ball allows him to make plays in the backfield in the run game as well. He’s a fast-rising small school prospect with great size and length to go along with his dynamic playstyle. Overall, Alexander is a sneaky late Day 1 option if teams want to bet on his upside. He’s more likely a 2nd Round player when all is said and done, though.
