Steelers bring back Scotty Miller, meeting with Kyle Kyle Juszczyk

The Pittsburgh Steelers are plodding their way through 2025 NFL Free Agency, and they continue to make moves after the league year started officially Wednesday at 4pm EST. Thursday morning it was announced the team was bringing back Mason Rudolph on a 2-year deal, and they continued their reunion tour by also welcoming back a wide receiver from 2024.

The receiver who is returning is Scotty Miller, who will receive a one-year deal.

This per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Miller played sparingly in 2024, bouncing on and off the active/inactive list on game days. In 2024, Miller played in 13 games, with just 5 catches for 69 yards and no touchdowns. The majority of Miller’s snaps came from special teams in both punt and kickoff coverage.

On top of Miller’s return to the team, it is also being reported the Steelers are hosting free agent fullback Kyle Juszczyk at the facility Thursday.

This too from Schefter:

Juszczyk played in all 17 games last year, catching 19 passes for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is versatile enough to play fullback, but can also be used as a flex tight end at times. Juszczyk is 33, and will be 34 in April, so what he still has left in the proverbial tank will absolutely be a question mark if the Steelers choose to sign him/

I hope they keep Skowronek. That guy was an unsung hero last season.

Skowronek just seemed too be just a good team player. Scotty did nothing here. I would much rather have Ben Skowronek. But hey, I’m just an armchair GM.

Juszczyk I kind of don’t get. They want to run zone and outside zone in particular and you don’t really use a lead on those plays. He would have been a nice piece with Harris if they were running true downhill lead plays.
