Report: Pittsburgh Plans to Host Top QB Prospect in April
The 2025 NFL Draft is approaching, and the Pittsburgh Steelers enter the time of the offseason filled with Pro Days and Pre-Draft visits, of which they are allotted 30 for non-local prospects. Getting these guys in the building helps in multiple ways. From deep-diving medical evaluations to comprehensive in-person interviews, it’s a chance for the Steelers to really get a bead on specific prospects they want to really get to know before Draft Day rolls around.
The other major benefit is for us as fans. Since these visits are limited, it really helps to narrow down which prospects and position groups are of the most interest to the team in this NFL Draft process. If a player comes for a Top 30 Visit, it’s not a smokescreen, it’s because there is real interest between the organization and prospect.
With the Steelers still awaiting a decision from Aaron Rodgers about his playing future and uncertainty surrounding their QB position, it’s been reported that Pittsburgh will be hosting Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart for a Top 30 Visit some time in April before the Draft.

Here’s a snippet from our very own Andrew Wilbar’s scouting report on Dart:
Dart delivers a beautiful deep ball with incredible touch and accuracy, and he possesses plenty of arm strength to stretch the field. Although the deep passing game was his calling card in college, he also saw plenty of success targeting receivers over the middle of the field, putting zip on passes and fitting balls into tight windows. Dart is also a good athlete who is dangerous as a runner when the pocket breaks down. He kept many a drive alive for Ole Miss by gunning up the field for chunk yardage on 2nd and 3rd downs. He does not get through his progressions quickly, and his footwork is rather undisciplined. Dart also seems to panic when teams blitz him, causing him to take his eyes off his receivers downfield and rely on his legs to salvage a positive play.
Overall: Day 2 graded QB with starter upside.

I am totally okay with this prospect.
But not in the 1st round.
Really shouldn’t address QB till 4th or 5th. Should grab DL and then RB before going for QB .
