Former Steelers left tackle Dan Moore signs with the Titans in free agency
The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to make their first signing of the 2025 Free Agency period, but while they wait to make their first move they also lost their first free agent who was free to sign with another team.
That player was Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA) Dan Moore Jr. who signed a very lucrative contract with the Tennessee Titans. The deal is a 4-year deal worth $82 million dollars. Of that $82 million, $50 million is fully guaranteed.

This is the type of contract which absolutely could lead to a compensatory pick coming back to the Steelers in the 2026 NFL Draft, but it all still depends on what the team is going to do in free agency. It is worth remembering the trade made by the Steelers Sunday for DK Metcalf won’t count against the team in the compensatory formula.
Moore was drafted by the Steelers out of Texas A&M in the 4th Round of the 2021 NFL Draft and went from a Day 3 after thought to a regular starter for the black-and-gold at left tackle. Moore was often the target for fan frustration with inconsistent play, but his durability and reliability got him paid handsomely in free agency.
Be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare for the rest of free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft.
It will be interesting to see what Moore becomes under Callahan. He is a top-level OL coach.
My goodness…Ronnie Stanley only got 3 years $60 million and Dan Moore got $50 million guaranteed??? Aint no way should Dan Moore be making as much as Trent Williams lol
Good for him. While he will never be confused with a premier left tackle, Dan Moore Jr. provided the Steelers with 4 years of mostly competent play at the post important position on the O line. Broderick Jones is on deck. We’ll see.
I agree Jon. Not only does your description fit him well, but he was a class act with never any outward sign of frustration that the Steelers tried to replace him twice. He kept fighting! Good for him for getting his payday!
Good for him! Get your money big fella!
I like Big Dan and am sorry to see him go, but that position needs to be better.
