Another Group of Pre-Draft Visitors Arrive in Pittsburgh
The 2025 NFL Draft is approaching, and the Pittsburgh Steelers enter the time of the offseason filled with Pro Days and Pre-Draft visits, of which they are allotted 30 for non-local prospects. Getting these guys in the building helps in multiple ways. From deep-diving medical evaluations to comprehensive in-person interviews, it’s a chance for the Steelers to really get a bead on specific prospects they want to really get to know before Draft Day rolls around.
The other major benefit is for us as fans. Since these visits are limited, it really helps to narrow down which prospects and position groups are of the most interest to the team in this NFL Draft process. If a player comes for a Top 30 Visit, it’s not a smokescreen, it’s because there is real interest between the organization and prospect.
On Friday, the Steelers hosted 4 more prospects for “Top-30” visits. We already took a look at Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart and WR Jaylin Noel out of Iowa State, as they were rumored earlier. Let’s dive into the other 2 prospects that were at the South Side on Friday, South Carolina SAF Nick Emmanwori and Oregon DT Jamaree Caldwell.
Steelers pre-draft visits today included: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss; Jamaree Caldwell, NT, Oregon; Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State; Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

NICK EMMANWORI
Strong Safety | South Carolina
Ht. 6030 | Wt. 220lbs | Junior

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:
Emmanwori is a generational athlete at the Strong Safety position, with the size, length, speed, and range to play anywhere on the backend of the defense. He’s a monster in the box as a coverage Safety and Dime Linebacker, although there are times in run support where you would like to see a more attacking mentality at his size. He has the ball skills and range to play deep, where his ability to close on receivers quickly and be an enforcer in the middle often forces teams to alter their gameplan. Overall, Emmanwori has a chance to be an elite difference-maker at the NFL Level. He’s a 1st Round lock in this Draft.
JAMAREE CALDWELL
Defensive Tackle | Oregon
Ht. 6020 | Wt. 332lbs | Senior

Jeremy Betz’s Scouting Report:
Looking for a true run-stuffer and pocket pusher in the middle of your Defensive Line? Jamaree Caldwell is your guy. Not an elite athlete by any stretch, but his low center of gravity and powerful lower half help him consistently eat blocks and get great leverage on Centers and Guards against both the run and the pass. He can get overwhelmed by more athletic interior blockers when he doesn’t win the rep early, and better run schemes at the NFL level will challenge him from a preparation standpoint. Overall, Caldwell is a Day 2 prospect with an elite calling card that will help him stand out at NT in this class.
