2025 Steelers Mock Draft: Comparing Mock Draft Simulators
It is my annual mock draft simulator comparison, where I use some of the most prominent mock draft simulators and use the opportunities on each simulator to give the Steelers the best haul. We then will compare the results and determine which one was most realistic and which one gave the Steelers the best haul.
Be sure to share your thoughts on these mocks in the comments down below, but let’s dive right in!
ESPN
- Steelers trade Picks 21 and 185 to the Bills for Picks 30 and 62
- Steelers trade Pick 62 to the Raiders for Picks 68, 180, and a 2026 4th Round Pick
- Steelers trade Pick 83 to the Chiefs for Picks 95, 226, 251, 257, and 2026 4th, 5th, and 7th Round Picks
1:30- Kenneth Grant | DT | Michigan
3:68- Ty Robinson | DT | Nebraska
3:95- Dylan Sampson | RB | Tennessee
4:123- Xavier Restrepo | WR | Miami
5:156- Will Howard | QB | Ohio State
6:180- Carson Vinson | OT | Alabama A&M
7:226- Jason Marshall, Jr. | WR | Florida
7:229- Jake Majors | C | Texas
7:251- Dont’e Thornton, Jr. | WR | Tennessee
7:257- Maxen Hook | S | Toledo
The highlight of the mock is the Steelers getting a true nose tackle, as well as a long-term replacement for Cameron Heyward. Sampson and Restrepo are immediate contributors on offense, and Howard and Vinson could both develop into starters down the line.
PFSN
- Steelers trade Pick 21 to the Bills for Picks 30, 56, and 177
- Steelers trade Picks 83 and 229 to the Eagles for Picks 96 and 134
- Steelers trade Pick 134 to the Raiders for Picks 143 and 180
If the image is showing up blurry on your device, the selections were Kenneth Grant, Jayden Higgins, Tory Horton, RJ Harvey, Zah Frazier, Rylie Mills, Craig Woodson, Dillon Gabriel, Carson Vinson.
Getting Grant was a home run on the trade back, and pairing Higgins with Horton gives the Steelers two young receiving weapons to compliment Metcalf once Pickens leaves the fold. Frazier and Mills are high-upside developmental prospects.

1:21- Jahdae Barron | CB | Texas
3:83- Jack Bech | WR | TCU
4:123- Kyle McCord | QB | Syracuse
5:156- J.J. Pegues | DL | Ole Miss
6:185- Dylan Fairchild | G | Georgia
7:229- Phil Mafah | RB | Clemson
I waited too long on running back, but with Nick Chubb still on the open market, I did not consider it a pressing need that cannot be filled elsewhere. Barron and Bech were BPA selections, but they do fill team needs.
Walk the Mock
My latest mock from walkthemock.com for PIT via Default ranking
1:21 – TE Tyler Warren, Penn St
3:19 – DL Joshua Farmer, Florida State
4:21 – RB D.J. Giddens, Kansas St.
5:24 – QB Kyle McCord, Syracuse
6:9 – WR Jaylin Lane, Virginia Tech
7:13 – CB Mac McWilliams, UCF
Tyler Warren will not fall to Pick 21, but in this scenario, he is easily the best pass-catcher available. You have to take him and just run more 12-personnel. Although the top defensive linemen went early, Farmer provides decent value in Round 3.
NFL Mock Draft Database

- Steelers trade Pick 30 to the Raiders for Picks 37, 108, 180, 222, and a 2026 4th Round Pick
- Steelers trade Picks 62 and 222 to the Lions for Pick 60
2:37- Luther Burden III | WR | Missouri
2:60- Darius Alexander | DT | Toledo
3:83- Tyler Shough | QB | Louisville
4:108- Denzel Burke | CB | Ohio State
4:123- DJ Giddens | RB | Kansas State
5:156- Dylan Fairchild | G | Georgia
6:180- Isaac TeSlaa | WR | Arkansas
6:185- Jaylen Reed | S | Penn State
7:229- Donovan Edwards | RB | Michigan
The Steelers come away with two potential starters at running back, a WR1 in Luther Burden, and a potential Pro-Bowl defensive lineman in Darius Alexander. Adding depth to the secondary and offensive lines were two additional pluses for this draft.

Wow, surprising how different.
I’m excited!! Stretching, and doing some sitting exercises to be sure I don’t pull anything on the couch tonight….oh, and stopping at the beer store on the way home. Gotta stay lubricated during these things.
Lets go Omar!
I haven’t slept for about 32 hours, so I might go take a quick nap before the draft starts lol.
Big on Luther Burden and Giddens
Same here!
